Cashflow Planning – COVID19
As many businesses have been impacted by staff shortages and unexpected closures, we would like to remind you to plan your cashflow and be prepared for any unexpected events that could have a negative impact. Employee leave entitlements during COVID-19 (Queensland)
If you are unsure as to the requirements around pay and employees during isolation periods or where a staff member is isolating awaiting test results, please refer to the below information kindly provided by HR Dynamics Team.
Casual Employees
- Employee is on unpaid leave until they receive a negative test
- If the employee receives negative test they can return to work
- If an employee tests positive, continue unpaid leave
Part Time and Full Time Employees
- Employee can use accrued leave (Annual, TOIL, RDO, ADO) until they receive a negative test
- If the employee does not have enough, or any, accrued leave it will be unpaid leave until they receive a negative test
- If the employee receives negative test they can return to work
- If the employee tests positive, and they are sick or unwell, the employee can at that point move from using accrued leave to using personal/sick leave
- If the employee does not have enough or any personal/sick leave, it will be unpaid leave
Public Holidays
- If a Part-Time employee is home quarantining/isolating and one of those days falls on a public holiday, then they would receive ordinary time for that day, if that is a day they would normally be rostered to work.
- If a Full-Time employee is home quarantining/isolating and one of those days falls on a public holiday, then they would receive ordinary time for that day.
Director ID reminder
A reminder that if you are a Director of a Company you must apply for a Director ID. Please see table below outlining the application deadline dates.
